A Study on the Character Trait of Nursing Students Presented by MMPI

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study was to examine the character trait of nursing students presented by MMPI. Data were collected through self-reported questionnaires from 84 nursing students living in D city from 1, April to 4, April in 2008. The instruments used for this study were MMPI(Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory) 383 by Kim(1989). The data collected were analyzed using frequency, percent, mean and SD with SPSS. The findings of this study were as follows :
The character trait of nursing students presented by MMPI were in normal category. In the clinical scale of MMPI, the highest scale was Mf and the next order was Pd, Hs. The lowest scale was Si and the next order was Sc. The findings of this study suggest that individualized interpretation of MMPI is needed.
